Kendallville RC Park Rules

 In general, we will establish a separate class for any type of vehicles if there are three or more people interested in running against one another. Our Rules are deliberately more flexible and reasonable than other tracks in the area. We are not interested in cut throat competition like that found at national events, but rather in friendly competition against one another where everyone feels at home and welcome. We don’t want anyone feeling left out, or like they are not welcome. 

Of course we would prefer that you support our hobby shop and buy your vehicles and parts from us, but you will be no less welcome if you show up with items you bought elsewhere or decide to run brands that we do not sell.

There will be a minimum of 12 or more of each events held during the year. Your best 8 finishes or times will be used to determine the overall winner in that event class each season. We are doing this with the understanding that sometimes life and family obligations get in the way and prevent you from being able to make it every week. This way you still have a chance of being the season winner in the classes you participate in on a weekly basis. Awards will be handed out to the season winner in each class.

 Longest Pull down the track wins in each class. In the event of a tie in distance, the one that got there the fastest is the winner

2. 6 x 6 Class
3. Crawler 1/18 Scale
   • Brushless
   • Brushed

1. 1/10 Crawler Races around the oval Track – 2 laps around the track with the fastest crawler winning. Pushing and showing is certainly allowed and even encouraged.
2. Blindfolded Team Crawler Obstacle Course on Oval Track- Two people team up for this event. The first driver positions his vehicle on the course and is then led to the driver stand where he is blindfolded. His Partner then issues him commands guiding him through the course until he completes it. The two then trade places and repeat the event. The lowest combined times of the two team mates wins the event.
3. Demolition Derby in the 16 foot square arena- The rules are simple. Everyone starts out in the sand filled arena and tries to push and shove each other out of the wood framed box. If you get pushed out of the box at any time during the match, you or done for that round of competition. For the first 3 minutes, you can have assistance if you are inside the box and are turned over. Anyone can turn you back over so you can continue to compete. After the 3 minute mark it is a fight to the finish and you cannot receive any assistance. Last one still moving in the box is the winner of that round.
4. SUMA Table Wrestling – Up to 8 vehicles are placed in the middle of the 8 foot rounds SUMA table. The drivers then use their vehicles to push their opponents off the table. The last one remaining is the winner
5. Tug of War – Two competitors are attached to one another with a rope and see who can pull the other over the line. This event will be done by scale size and weight class, matching similar vehicles against one another so any scale and weigh vehicles can compete
